Community Development Block Grant.
A series of grants from the State of Ohio – Office of Community Development that provide funding for public and private projects that serve low to moderate populations. The City of Findlay and Hancock County receive a noncompetitive Allocation Grant each year along with applying for several completive grants each year. Example of permitted grant projects includes public infrastructures such as roadway repaving, waterlines, sidewalks, and playground equipment.
The City of Findlay and Hancock County Revolving Loan Funds are capitalized with CDBG funds.
Community Housing Improvement Program.
A grant program that assists low to moderate income homeowners in making emergency repairs and remodels to unsafe housing.
